Our Private Florence in 1 Day Tours feature four-hour private guided walking tours of Florence providing comprehensive city sightseeing tours of Florence.

In the company of one our expert Florence tour guides we’ll pay particular attention to the Renaissance period as this sightseeing tour visits Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia, the Uffizi to admire the works of great Renaissance artists such as Botticelli & Raffaello, and a two-hour walking tour of the historical centre of the city. A walking tour of Florence that provides the ideal introduction to a city, whose piazzas and palazzi reveal the logic and philosophy of that incredible period of history called the Renaissance.

As we walk through the streets and piazzas of Florence we’ll discuss the ideas of the Renaissance, the lives of many famous artists, the Medici family who showered Florence with countless masterpieces, and how life changed forever during this epic period of the history of Florence.

Your guide will come and meet you in the lobby of your centrally located hotel in Florence.
If your hotel is not centrally located, our guide will come and meet you in Piazza Strozzi in front of the Palazzo Strozzi, holding a sign with your name written on it

Tuscany Winery Tour – Montalcino & The Brunello Wineries

H 9.45 – meeting in Montalcino area by English speaking food & wine guide-driver

H 10.00 – private winery visit to a famous middle size winery with tasting of 3-5 wines

H 12.00 – stop in S. Antimo to visit the abbey and take some nice picture of this magnificent place (or visit the Old Town but it depends by your interest and time)

H 13.00 – lunch by a nice spot in the countryside with homemade delicacies field to table and a great view “al fresco”

H 15.00 –  private visit to a boutique family run winery with tasting of their 3 wines and e.v olive oil with the owner

H 16.30 – end of the tour

Livorno Port (Florence) to Avignonesi Winery Tour – 3 Hours

Enjoy a four-course gourmet lunch, paired with the top wines of Avignonesi

Our midday winery tour starts at 12pm with a visit to the estate vineyards to reflect on the importance of terroir. We then move to the ageing cellars and the Vinsantaia, concluding with a four-course wine-paired gourmet meal in our elegant and panoramic Foresteria. Most of the year the lunch will be served on our panoramic terrace. Should the weather not permit eating outside, we will serve lunch in our cozy indoor dining room.

The Menu

The menu, created by winery Chef Luca Biancucci under the directions of owner Virginie Saverys, features seasonal, organic dishes with locally sourced products, many of which come from our own biodynamic vegetable garden.

Vegetarian and gluten-free options are always present on the menu.

Max 12 guests per reservation. Maximum seating capacity of both luncheon terrance and inside dining room: 35 guests.

The Tour & Winelover’s lunch is available from Monday to Friday, March 21st through November 18th, and Saturdays from May through October.

Total length of this activity: 3 hours

Closed January and February.

Travel time from the port to the winery is approximate 2.5 hours one way.

Small Group Winery Tour –  Lunch and Wine

In a small group of 8 or less, you will travel from Florence to the historic town of Montepulciano, sampling its atmosphere and wine before moving on to the Tuscan hill town of Montalcino. During this leg of the trip you will visit a local wine farm and the beautiful Renaissance hill town Pienza. Afterwards, you will be driven back to Florence via the panoramic Cassia Road that travels through the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

• This tour will be made up of 8 people in total per minivan and you will be driven / guided by one of our experienced and licensed driver-guides .
• The tour begins at 9am in Florence and finishes at 6pm in Florence.
• The tour includes the cost of lunch and wine tastings.
• The tour does not include gratuities or the cost of any other consumables for the day.
